Naomi can be viewed as someone with three different personalities that change depending on the situation she is in. The first is for when she is working in the Pokemon Center, mostly when around Pokemon owners. She will put on a smile and be very attentive to her customer’s needs. Her expressions and attitude are far from genuine, but it is what’s appropriate for her work.

Her true personality is usually only seen when she is alone with Pokemon. Here Naomi is generally more caring, giving the Pokemon berries, smiling, and playing with them. Her love for the creatures is why she decided to work at a Pokemon Center. She is indeed caring and thoughtful, but the way she appears in front of most people will probably suggest otherwise.

Naomi will typically appear grumpy, like someone you wouldn’t want to approach for fear of being snapped at. Due to some unfortunate events in her past, Naomi will come off as unfriendly for fear of being stabbed in the back. Being rather quiet and socially awkward for her age doesn’t help either. For the few who can gain her trust, she will still be awkward. She will stutter and stumble over words. But in any case, she means well.

In spite of her awkwardness, she does have some keen analytical skills when the situation calls for it. From reading facial expressions to predicting movements to inventing strategies, Noami is always prepared.

History:
Naomi grew up with her aunt and uncle, for the first few years of her life accepting them as her parents. Her biological mother had Naomi when she was only 18 years old and her father left because their relationship was not working after Naomi was born, and he couldn’t be bothered with raising a child. Left alone, Naomi’s mother was unable to support herself and another being. So she decided to give Naomi up to her sister who was about 7 years older. When Naomi was 3 years old, her mother abandoned her to live in a different region. Noami has no recollection of this at all.

For the most part her life growing up was good. She was happy, always receiving what she wanted [which was never very much]. Her first Pokemon was an Audino, level 5 and named Angel. Funny enough, Naomi met the Pokemon when she was 5 years old. The two grew up together, and perhaps it was because of Angel that Naomi was inspired to study and work as a nurse. So while she progressed with her work, the only real bump on the road happened to be when her aunt and uncle told her about her parents.

Naomi was 14 when she asked them about why her last name was different from theirs. When she learned the truth about her parents, she was crushed and stricken with an unrelenting sense of paranoia. Though, even with her developing trust issues she always found the needs of other people and Pokemon more important than her own. The news had been crippling and the scars would always remain, but Noami managed to pull herself out of the ditch on her own.

She would often feel threatened and approach things with caution. She would always remember the shock of leaning about her parents and the lies she had grown up believing. She would not however, let it keep her down. Naomi felt driven even more to be successful, to show off the daughter they could have had. So about 2 weeks into her job she had never felt so happy. She was helping to save the lives of Pokemon. She could always see how thankful the owners were. These thoughts filled her head as she drifted to sleep. It was then that a voice came to her.

“Fear me not dreamer, for I have come to ask of your help. Darkness is overtaking the world and I cannot fight it alone. Please lend me your strength.”

Without hesitation Naomi said yes.
